Dubai: the world’s longest ambulance

Is it just me or does Dubai at times remind you of a strung-out junkie, desperate for another fix of hyperbole and superlatives from the international press? I mean the world’s longest ambulance? What’s next, the world’s biggest cheese-grater? World’s biggest key-chain? World’s widest puddle? Feel free to add you own suggestions…

Highfield and HABC are proud to be working in Partnership with the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.
The Government of Dubai are clearly very serious about leading the international field with respect to the service that they provide for both those who live in Dubai and tourists, response times are excellent and equipment is world class. For example last year Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services introduced the worlds largest ambulance to their fleet which includes an onboard operating theatre and capacity for large scale casualty treatment.
Dubai Ambulance The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services approach to first aid training is equally impressive and the Executive Directors have recently launched an advocacy campaign aimed at promoting first aid training for everyone in the community. Khalifa Hassan al Darrai the Executive Director states ‘The key messages of our advocacy report, points out that first aid education should be available for all and not just those who can afford it. It said that compulsory first aid training should be set up at different stages of peoples lives’.
